It network inc

We build the network tools that live on a phone: WiFi speed tests, device scans, IP lookups and signal readings.

  • Network diagnostics
  • Mobile-first
  • Plain readings

What we build and what it reports

Five diagnostics, each one a plain number or a plain list — no scores, no traffic-light guesses.

WiFi speed test

Download, upload, latency and jitter measured from the handset, not from the router's own claim.

  • Down / up throughput
  • Latency and jitter
  • Repeat tests kept as history
  • Per-network results, WiFi or mobile
Most asked for

Network scanner

Sweeps the local subnet and lists what answers, with vendor and hostname where the device gives them up.

  • Live host sweep
  • MAC vendor lookup
  • Open-port check per host
  • Rescan and compare

IP address lookup

Shows the phone's local and public addresses and resolves what sits behind an address you type in.

  • Local and public IP
  • Gateway, DNS and subnet mask
  • Reverse DNS on any address
  • Ping and traceroute

Connected device list

A named inventory of everything on the WiFi, so an unexpected device is obvious instead of anonymous.

  • Nameable devices
  • New-device flag on rescan
  • Wired and wireless in one list
  • Export of the current list

Signal strength checker

Live dBm and channel readings you can walk a building with to find where coverage drops off.

  • Live dBm reading
  • Channel and band in use
  • Nearby-network overlap
  • Room-by-room notes

Scope, platforms and reporting are agreed per engagement. Tell us your network and we will say what applies.

How working with us goes

  1. You send the enquiry

Name, email and a line about the network or the product you want measured. An engineer reads it, not a call centre.

  2. Scoping call

We ask what has to be reported, on which platforms, and which routers and access points are in the field.

  3. Test plan

You get a written scope: the diagnostics in play, what each one outputs, and how results are stored on the device.

  4. Build and measurement

We build against real hardware on the bench and verify readings on site rather than in a simulator.

  5. Handover

Working diagnostics, the measurement notes behind them, and a walkthrough of how to read the numbers.

Tell us what needs measuring

Home network, office floor or a product you are shipping — describe it and we will tell you what we would test.

  • An engineer reads the enquiry and replies by email
  • First step is a short scoping call about your network
  • Nothing is proposed before we know what has to be reported
